In april 1997, Minebea received ISO 14001 certification, Environmental Management System, for Karuizawa headquarters plant and UK subsidiary's plant as the first winners in bearing industry in the world. And all of Minebea Group of companies in Thailand received ISO 14001 certifications simulataneously for all 30 production divisions of all plants in October 1997.
