An integral pillar of Minebea's growth strategy is to expand sales and production of electronic parts and devices. To this end, Minebea started the operation of R& D Center,and Minebea Electronics Co., Ltd., in Shizuoka Prefecture,in Japan in May 1986.
The Minebea R& D Center is developing new electronic base materials, electronic parts and devices, precision processed parts, and other related products.
Minebea Electronics Co., Ltd. Japan engages in the development of mass production technologies, and small lot production, and also transfers mass production to Minebea Electronics (Thailand) CO., Ltd. and Power Electronics of Minebea Co., Ltd.
Products
This assembly is used for the displays of mobile telephones and personal digital assistants (PDAs).When attached to a reflective color LCD, the front light assembly im-proves the readability of the display in difficult reading conditions. Using white light- emitting diode (LED) chips, consumes less power and is lighter in weight and uses less space than conventional LCD front light assembly.
In addition,the assembly features high luminance and uniformity of light distribution.h precision processing technology and leading- edge manufacturing facilities are fully utilized for the development of materials, for the designing, production and evaluation processes of magnetic heads for floppy disk drive sub-assemblies produced in Lop Buri Plants. Mass production in Thailand insures stable pro-duction of high quality products. These magnetic heads are also supplied in the form of head carriage assem-blies per customers request.
Reflective Color LCD Front Light Assembly
Taking advantage of Minebea's ferrite materials and circuit technology for switching power supplies,the facility manufactures backlight inverters according to customers' specifications.
