TAKAHASHI FOUNDATION  
  History  
     
       The executive of Minebea Group of Companies forwards corporate strategies as working guideline to all employees that “we shall not create pollution”, “we shall not disrupt environment” and “we shall respect local culture and contribute to the future development of local community” Therefore, Minebea always binds these strategies to business operation.

     To commemorate the 10th Anniversary, Minebea would like to contribute to local community, The executives agreed to donate 20 million baht as a register capital for establishing a foundation for supporting students who lack of studying budget in Thailand, because Education is the most important foundation of sustained development but there are still handful of Thai younger lose the opportunity. “Takahashi Foundation” is honorably named for Mr. Takami Takahashi, the founder of Minebea Group of Companies. The foundation had invited the leading educational intellectuals and Chief Executive Officer from Ministry of Education and the Commission of Higher Education to manage the operation. 		 
     
   Objective of foundation  
 
1.
 To support educational organization or institutes for science and technology.
2.
 To support students who are studying on science and technology in any Educational organizations or institutes.
3.
 To support research and development projects for science and technology.
4.
 To perform acts for public benefit or to cooperate with other charitable organizations for public benefit.
5. To not engage in acts related to politics whatsoever.
 
     
   Register Capital  
       1992 Minebea Group of Companies (Thailand) donated for register capital to establish the foundation for 20,000,000 baht(Twenty Million Baht)

      1997 Minebea Group of Companies (Thailand) donated for increasing capital for 20,000,000 baht(Twenty Million Baht ) Total register capital is 40,000,000 baht (Forty Million Baht ) Registered for changing register capital in 1997.

      2000 Foundation gained interest from Capital which deposit in saving account, and divided 30% of received interest to include with Capital. Total Capital is 43,788,513.96 baht ( Forty-Three Million Seven Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Five Hundred Thirteen Baht and Ninety-Six Stang) Registered for changing register capital in 2000.

      2003 Minebea Group of Companies (Thailand) donated for increasing capital for 20,000,000 baht(Twenty Million Baht ) Total register capital is 63,788,513.96 baht (Sixty-Three Million Seven Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Five Hundred Thirteen Baht and Ninety-Six Stang) Registered for changing register capital in 2003

      2007 In the occasion of 25th Anniversary of Minebea Group of Companies (Thailand) has operation in Thailand, Minebea has donated 20,000,000 baht(Twenty Million Baht ) Total register capital is 83,788,513.96 baht (Eighty-Three Million Seven Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Five Hundred Thirteen Baht and Ninety-Six Stang) Registered for changing register capital in 2007

      Foundation has received donation for increasing register capital is beneficial for foundation has capability to proceed more public charity activities according to the objective of foundation. 		 
     
   Status of foundation  
       After Takahashi Foundation has implemented for 4 years, in 1996 Takahashi Foundation was announced as Public Charity Organization No. 297 according to the announcement No. 51 of the Ministry of Finance.  
     
   Charity Activities of foundation  
     
   
     
       Scholarship for student: Foundation has approved to grant scholarships for Student who is studying in Vocational , High Vocational and Bachelor Degree level of educational institutions country-wide under the supervision of Vocational Educational Commission, Rajamangkala University of Technology and Commission on Higher Education with the objective to support the student who has good studying record but lack of budget to have opportunity to complete their education according to course stipulated. Foundation has granted since 1994 to present totally 806 scholarships with the amount of 28,7675,000 baht. Board of Director of foundation has appointed Sub-Committee to consider and approve scholarship annually.

     Research Fund for Sea Turtle preservation:   Foundation has supported for 100,000 baht for research fund to the Faculty of Science, Major Biology, Silapakorn University for proceeding the research and preservation project of Sea turtle which has decreased to prevent for extinction also able to breed more baby turtle in 1995.

     Agricultural for Lunch Project:   Foundation has supported primary school in Ayutthaya, Aungthong and Lopburi area to implement agricultural for lunch project to help the school who lack of budget in this project, able to continue having student practical learning how to grow vegetable, feeding chicken for laying eggs and feeding fish as material for cooking lunch serve for student at school, the budget was 150,000 baht each school annually, during 1998-2003.

     Fulfill Knowledge for School Library:   Foundation has supported budget for primary school and secondary school which lack of budget to improve their library for more standardize using as “Knowledge Center” also to promote student to has reading habit and searching for new knowledge beside from their text book in class. The budget was 250,000 baht each school annually, totally 2 schools was supported during 2005-2007. 		 
     
     
       Energy Preservation and Usage of Substitute Energy (Bio-Diesel): Foundation has supported budget for 400,000 baht granted to the Immigration Dept. under the supervision of Royal Thai Police for this project in February 2008.
